- 1 pound skinless, boneless chicken breast, cut into strips
- 1 cup all-purpose flour

- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper

- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 cup hot sauce (like Frank’s RedHot)
- 1/2 cup butter, melted

Instructions
- Heat oil in a deep-fryer or large saucepan to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, mix flour, salt, black pepper, cayenne pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the egg and milk.
- Dip each chicken strip in the egg mixture, then roll in the flour mixture. Repeat for a double coating.
- Refrigerate the breaded chicken for 20 minutes to allow the coating to set.
- Fry chicken in batches in the hot oil for 5–6 minutes, until golden brown and juices run clear. Use a thermometer to ensure the chicken reaches 165°F (74°C).
