Full Recipe:

  • Ingredients:
    • 350g potatoes, peeled and grated
    • 150g carrots, grated
    • 20g green onions, finely chopped
    • 1/5 tsp black pepper
    • 1/4 tsp salt
    • 2 eggs
    • 3 tbsp cornstarch
    • 3 tbsp wheat flour
    • Oil for frying

  • Directions:
    1. Prepare the Mixture:
      • In a large mixing bowl, combine the grated potatoes and carrots.
      • Add the finely chopped green onions, black pepper, and salt to the bowl and mix well.
      • Beat the eggs and add them to the potato mixture, ensuring everything is thoroughly combined.
      • Sprinkle the cornstarch and wheat flour over the mixture. Stir until all ingredients are evenly coated and the mixture holds together.
    2. Form the Potato Balls:
      • Take a small portion of the mixture and roll it into a ball using your hands. Repeat this process until all the mixture is used. If the mixture is too wet, you can add a little more flour or cornstarch to help it bind better.
    3. Fry the Potato Balls:
      • Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium-high heat. The oil should be hot enough so that a small piece of the mixture sizzles when dropped into the pan.
      • Carefully place the potato balls in the hot oil and fry them for about 8 minutes, turning occasionally, until they are golden brown and crispy on all sides.
      • Remove the potato balls from the oil with a slotted spoon and drain them on paper towels to remove excess oil.
