Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 package refrigerated biscuit dough
  • 1 cup apples, peeled, cored, and diced
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1/4 cup sugar (for coating)
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon (for coating)
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for icing)
  • 1 tablespoon milk (for icing)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a small skillet, melt the butter over medium heat, then add the diced apples, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Cook for about 5 minutes, or until the apples are soft and syrupy. Remove from heat and set aside to cool.
  3. Open the biscuit dough and separate the biscuits. Flatten each biscuit slightly with your fingers.
  4. Spoon a small amount of the apple mixture into the center of each biscuit. Carefully fold the edges of the dough over the filling and pinch to seal.
  5. Place each sealed apple pie bomb onto a greased baking sheet.
  6. In a small bowl, combine sugar and cinnamon. Roll each pie bomb in this cinnamon sugar mixture, then return them to the baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed up.
  8. While baking, prepare the icing by mixing powdered sugar and milk until smooth.
  9. Drizzle the icing over the hot apple pie bombs as soon as they come out of the oven.
