Ingredients:
For the batter:

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 3/4 cups flour
  • 3/4 cup cocoa
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup boiling water

  • 1 1/2 cup cocoa
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

 

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the sugar, flour, cocoa, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
