- 1.5-2 kg potatoes
- 2 onions, finely chopped
- 500 g minced meat
- 50 ml vegetable oil
- 1 tablespoon dried herbs
- 1 tablespoon dried parsley
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 eggs
- 2 heaping tablespoons cream
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 500 ml milk
Directions:
Prepare the Potatoes:
- Peel the potatoes and slice them into approximately 3mm thick rounds.
- Wash the sliced potatoes thoroughly under running water to remove any excess starch.
Cook the Onions and Meat: - Heat the oil in a pan over high heat, then reduce to medium.
- Add the chopped onions and sauté until translucent.
- Add the minced meat, dried herbs, parsley, and black pepper. Cook until the meat is well browned, stirring frequently.
Layer the Moussaka: - In a baking dish, arrange a layer of potato slices.
- Evenly spread half of the cooked meat over the potatoes.
- Add another layer of potatoes, then the remaining meat, and top with the final layer of potatoes.
